RT4 Models

The RT4 is available in 3 models:

We recommend not purchasing the 'Base' model so that a cellular connectivity option is availble.

The Cell Data Modem is 4G LTE, and designed for worldwide coverage. It has passed ATT and Verizon approval. It should work with other carriers that accept PTCRB approval (Rogers, Vodafone, O2, T-Mobile/T-Com, Sprint, Movistar, Telstra).

The Geo Cell model uses the Ublox M8N GNSS receiver, and does not have an external antenna port.

The base RT3 model is not available in the RT4 series. The RT4 Basic model is closest to the RT3 GEO model.

RT4 Pricing

RT4 tablets are reasonably priced and include a standard 2-year warranty.

Important: when comparing the RT4 to non-Carlson variants, please remember:

• The RT4 includes 8-GB of system ram (many other platforms and web pricing only include 6-GB)
• The RT4 has a 128-GB system storage disk (many other platforms and online pricing only include 64-GB)
• Carlson will not support SurvPC running on non-Carlson tablet devices.
  If you purchase a tablet that is not Carlson branded you can not call Carlson support
  for assistance with the hardware or SurvPC installed on a foreign device!

Bundled 'Kit' pricing may be available when purchased with a BRx7 GPS or a Robotic Total Station, please call us for current offerings.

Starting in 2023, we no longer stock the 'Base' model without a cellular modem and we recommend purchasing the modem option, even if you do not currently plan to use it.
